FAQs
What kind of stone do you work with?
I collaborate with a team in Zimbabwe to ethically source unique stones—selecting specimens that showcase a spectrum of grain structures and colours. Read more here.
Are all your sculptures hand-carved?
Yes, every sculpture is completely hand-carved using both traditional and modern tools and techniques. This ensures each piece is one-of-a-kind and carries the distinct mark of craftsmanship.
Do you take custom commissions?
Absolutely. I work closely with clients to design and create custom sculptures tailored to their vision, space, and preferences. Whether it’s a private commission or a public installation, I bring each idea to life with care and precision.
How long does a sculpture take to complete?
The timeline depends on the size, complexity, and type of stone. A small to medium piece might take several weeks, while large-scale sculptures can take several months. I’ll provide a time estimate during the consultation process.
Do you ship sculptures internationally?
Yes, I ship both nationally and internationally. Each piece is professionally crated and insured to ensure safe delivery. Shipping costs and timelines vary by location and size.
Can I visit your studio?
My studio is located in Kingston Ontario. Visits are welcome by appointment. It’s a great way to see the work in progress and discuss potential commissions in person.
Can I see a sculpture in person before I purchase?
Yes. If you're local or within reasonable travel distance, we may be able to bring a selection of finished sculptures to your location so you can view them in person and choose the one that feels right for your space.
Do you offer installation services?
Yes, I can arrange or assist with installation depending on the scope and location of the project.
How do I care for a stone sculpture?
Stone is incredibly durable, but occasional cleaning with mild soap and water is usually sufficient. For outdoor sculptures, I can provide specific care instructions depending on the stone and environment.
